Accordion Man

My adventures around New York City’s Bastille Day (2010-2011) became a major source of artistic inspiration. Both years, I was charmed to see this man playing the accordion along the street fair. This drawing stitches together many images that I took of him and the surrounding crowd individually. One of the best parts was zooming into the picture to realize that the accordion has a name–Main Squeeze.

(And with a small google search, I found him: Harlan Muir, Brooklyn accordionist: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/harlanmuir/harlan-muir-wants-to-release-his-first-ep)
